Loretta The Butcher - Miami

Dined here for the first time last night and for our table it ended up being a huge disappointment. The steak was over cooked, tough, and unseasoned, and the chicken lacked flavor and was dry. Even the fries were plain. With all the restaurant options available this falls short of desirable.

The restaurant is beautiful and in a lovely location. The staff are also very sweet and kind. But sadly, the food and wait time was a total let down. We waited over an hour and a half for our dinner to arrive. We ordered the fish paridallia the fish tasted variations of under and over cooked. We were starving by the time it came so out we ate it anyway, but otherwise we would not have. The owner asked how it was and I mentioned that it was over cooked (the octopus was so rubbery we could not even cut it to eat it) and he said he would take care of it. They sent out another glass of wine for the wait which was kind but I was expecting the dish to be taken off the bill. Disappointing experience!

This was our second time at the restaurant. Our first experience, about a year ago, was very good. However, I cannot say the same thing about last night's experience. We both ordered the filet mignon. We ordered 2 filet mignons (one medium rare, and one medium). We also ordered 2 sides russian salad and potaoes provencal. Our young server insisted that one was not sufficient for 2 people. (This was not what we remembered from our first visit). The 2 filets were both medium rare, and the 2 sides were enough to feed 4 people! We immediately asked the server if he could please have one of the filets cooked a little bit more. Had this been done in a timly manner, it would not have upset me too much. However, this process took more than 10 minutes! To top it off, the outside of the filet was completely charred, and the inside was onl slightly better. The server never asked if the filet was better. For that matter, no one (not even the manager) ever asked us how everything was. We finished our meal and asked for the check. We were too upset to ask for dessert. The russian salad was very good, but the potatoes provencal were basically french fries with cheese and garlic sprinkled on top. We do not recommend them. We will not be back for a third time.

Glad i was able to make it out to Coconut Grove. It was so nice to sit outside during this beautiful weather. The service was outstanding I highly recommend you request Jazmine as your waitress. Food was amazing . Fresh, hot and delicious. I will definitely be returning to try out there Brunch burger which looked amazing.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted. Table was nice and ambience inside out was good. Food was good, but salad and cooked veggies were below par. Broiled chicken and chicken milanesa with respective mashed potatoes were very good. Skirt steak was below par. The service was very good, very attentive friendly.
