Montecatini Italian Kendall, Miami

Everything was amazing, the food and the service is great!! We will definitely come back. I took a star off the rating because the lack of effort to speak in English. I understand where this establishment is located, but pretending not to hear a person that is talking directly to you, is not only rude but also represents the restaurant very poorly. If you're limited and can't communicate in English, find someone who can so that you can take care of a paying customer. Please help your staff to be better, this is a great place to gather with family and friends and have a great meal, and it is a shame not to be able to treat all customers equally.Parking: Parking spots are ridiculously small. People are obligated to park in 2 spots, especially if you have an SUV, even a regular size car, doesn't fit between the lines. Hopefully, they redo the lot soon?

I have been here before for a large birthday party and I do feel that being in the Kendall area it is a very decent Italian restaurant. Our server Orlando made our experience absolutely great was always on top of everything for us and make sure that we always had water in our cup fresh bread off the table and our meals came out perfectly on time. I do find it very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the ambience is pretty nice as well. I find it to be a very family oriented restaurant and also has a large space for large parties.

I had a very nice experience in Montecatini they food was delicious. I went out to eat with my family of four and we each enjoyed what we ordered. Tried everything in my table but I really enjoyed the pizza.

Starting with the atmosphere, they sat us in the outdoor area in front of the door. So imagine a door that is open and your table is the door stop to keep the door open. That is where we sat. Though the glass there was another family seated and it felt like we were eating together.Service, no one spoke English not even enough to communicate with my husband. It was so bad that they would talk to me and ignore him all together. I could have translated their conversation but they didn't even bother to include him and just talked to me. Our server was nice but again my husband couldn't ask him about the menu.Food, the fried cheese balls were paired with sweet and sour sauce. Seemed like a strange pairing of an Asian sauce with a spanish cheese. It distracted from the cheese. An Asian sauce doesn't fit the Italian, Cuban, Spanish theme. It just tasted strange. Asians don't have cheese recipes that should have been a clue. It wasn't fusion it was confussion.The spaghetti carbonara. Best description, meh. It was not the best. It was missing the black speckles of black pepper that the name carbonara comes from.$42 short rib. It was so disappointing. Over all the whole dish was under seasoned. Risotto was the worse part. It haf some pieces of rice that were al dente and others were over cooked. Overcooked to the point the the gain split. The flavor was like boiled rice in water boring boxed broth. The beef was just under seasoned. The mushrooms sauce was either not enough or the beef was just simply under seasoned.This dish needed SALT, SALT, SALT!I couldn't finish eating it.I will not be returning to try other dishes.

This place never fails to freshen your palate. Great service, excellent food. Is obvious the attention to quality ingredients is there. Highly recommend.
