I was in Miami for the night and I wanted something new and exciting. I had never had Peruvian food so I figured I 'd give it a go. This was a casual style eatery and I loved the side vibe, colorful and inviting with an open kitchen. I had a very friendly server and a started out with a sangria. I asked the server what he recommends I try, and I noted I am an adventurous eater and would love to try whatever is authentic. He recommended the La Tia Veneno . I did ask if the dish was suitable for one, and he said yes. However, this was a large platter you could easily share with someone. He brought out a huge sizzling, flaming platter of meats, papas bravas, corn and a huge side of Peruvian rice. Wow, impressive. It was also served with a bunch of sauces. I was a huge fan of the Huacatay sauce. I put it on everything. The rice was incredible, flavorful, fluffy. The meats were all perfectly grilled and seasoned, a little heat was perfect. The papas bravas were potatoes topped with a cheese sauce, how could you go wrong?! For $34 this plate was a steal. The veal heart was so good and a treat to try. I am rarely in Miami, but I would definitely go back here to try something else. Highly recommend!
Great food, amazing service and vibrant atmosphere! Roger was my server and let me say the service was phenomenal He was explaining to me the Peruvian origins of the dishes and sauces! I was so impressed! I have been searching for good Peruvian chicken and I ordered 1/2 pollo and let me say, I found my place! I'll be coming back ! I even got to sample the cilantro soup I was blown away! Savory with great flavor components! If you ever feel under the weather, try this soup! The food, service and ambiance was amazing! I'll be back for more, and will bring my friends! Until next time Xoxo
Fantastic place! Our friend's choice to celebrate our road trip from Chicago. The service was excellent. Our server was professional, attentive, and made good recommendations The food was delicious. I do not remember all the dishes as we were sharing in a group of four and the Pisco sour was generously flowing. BTW, the pisco sour was tasty, one of the best I ever had,?including the ones I had in Lima. My milanesa de pollo a Caballo (with a fried egg over it) was tender, crunchy, and well-condimented. The ceviche de atun was exquisite. We had several appetizers which were also very yummy. I left over-satisfied and took leftovers to our hotel which ate the next evening. I am not sure if it was the manager or owner who,?on our way out, stopped us to ask if everything was okay, and especially if I was satisfied with the Milanesa. Perhaps she thought I did not enjoy it because I did not finish it. Rest assured madam, I was well pleased with it, I just could not take another bite and I enjoyed it again the following day. Highly recommend this establishment.
Really great food! The space is massive and I really enjoyed the grilled foods especially. The skirt steak was hella bomb and Christopher had great service!
