I know covid was hard for all, especially small businesses, but we did not feel welcome or how they were excited to be a bakery. the best interaction we had was with the strangers who sat on the back door.
Mosswood farm store and bakehouse has embedded a magic secret garden behind the business. if they stop for a drink and are happy to sneak a delicious bakery consumption, I urge them to meander through the food forest. joe pierce is the designer and steward of the gardens and he has some fantastic stands of bambus and banans along with plenty of other means of life. If you want to learn more about diversified food and forest systems and want to see agroforestry principles as the first hand, then drive them to the right place sweet spot in micanopy is a must stop and support.
We were very good customers over the years. the last time that we were in the kerl behind the theke were totally ignored us, never greeted us or said thanks, have a big day...Nothing we did it to him with a bad day and still bought food. it happens. we went in yesterday to not be greeted and ignored by the woman behind the counter. we were going to end. we will not be back.
I was here for a whole minute before the rudeness of the woman in the register made me turn around and let go. Perhaps they have no interest in being a real business or customer service, which is good for the other great options in the city. do not waste their time or money going here, especially if there are other amazing options a block away working with nice people there. Instead, it turned out to be a blessing, because I ended up being old florida cafe, which turned out to be an amazing icy latte, and amazingly hot foot and desserts. it is regrettable that the sweet southern charm and human condition on this load is wasted, which takes place.
What a rude staff, genuinely hostile people. And we were served a horrific cup of coffee. Such bad attitudes we didn't even want to try the cake we bought. They clearly think their organic pretentiousness and marketing gimmicks means they can be jerks to customers. So much spite and sadness employed here.
