New to the village and loving the local with its traditional values being upheld with regards to its opening hours and no horrible TV screens and fruit machines . It gets a massive thumbs up from me . Not eaten here yet but the Sunday roasts look and smell amazing Lovely local ale served up by the chatty landlord . Top marks White Hart
Just had lunch here. Lovely, tasty home cooked food. Totally recommend.
Went to this pretty village and found this pub for lunch. Everyone in was so friendly to us as outsiders and my little dog was welcomed too. Fire alight on a cold day made it very homely. So comfort food ordered. Had a steak pie, homemade and honestly, the best slice of pie ive ever had! It was delish, with roast potatoes and 2 veg. Would definately recommend
My partner and I, took my parents here for a Sunday roast. It was delicious, lovely crispy roast potatoes, gorgeous cauliflower in white sauce, ample cuts of pork or beef; great crackling! Desserts are fabulous too. Their sticky toffee pudding is possibly among the best in UK. Atmosphere inside is very cozy and historic. Very genuine British pub. Big open fire is very welcoming during winter. Max the landlord is an old-school wit, with lots of sharp and amusing comments. His charming partner Alison is behind a lot of the honest food, she's as lovely as Max is sometimes acerbic!! We've had lots of high-end gastro pub grub in London. The White Hart is as good, if not better. It's certainly more intimate and homely. Highly recommended!!
