I would have been embarrassed to serve them myself, but there you have it. I still recommend visiting for the delicious coffee and picturesque surroundings. The cakes are likely better than the scones. Check it out.
I use this café regularly. The new people begin to calm down. There is a good selection of cakes, homemade scenes and a snack menu. The atmosphere is good. Opening times are sooner and later than before. Worth a visit.
I had lunch at this restaurant and ordered tea and sandwiches. The sandwiches were served on roasted bread instead of the brown bread I had requested, but they were very tasty. The tea was from Tea Pigs, but I didn't get to choose my favorite flavor. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. It would be convenient if they accepted credit cards. The restaurant is in a beautiful location.
My wife and I hadn't been to this café in over a year, but we decided to stop in Lindfield on our way to Borde Hill Gardens and have coffee at FIKA. The coffee bar is now under new management, and while the new owners are still making changes (many paintings still to be hung), the coffee was still excellent. We will definitely be back in the future.
The coffee was fabulous and the two ladies serving were pleasant. I had a terrible scone though so dry! I would have been embarrassed to serve it but there you go. I would recommend visiting for the coffee and quaint surroundings. Their cakes are...probably better than their scones. Give it a visit
