Middleburg Steak Seafood

We 've been a regular at Middleburg Steakhouse for over a decade. The experience has been consistently good, but lately?... It 's been phenomenal! Our last visit was perhaps our best! My takeaways: -We had little to no wait time. The restaurant was packed and we were still seated quickly. I 've waited an hour to be seated here in the past so this was a welcome change. (For context we came on a Saturday night) -The salad bar selection has been reduced but nothing removed will be missed. I 'm looking at you anchovies. -The food was fresh and delicious. Prompt, but not in a eat and get out kind of way. The staff know how to stage the meal and seemed to almost psychically know when to check-in, bring refills ect. -Our appetizers came out quickly, BEFORE the meal. So did our drinks.? -The staff were zipping around as busy as it was and still seemed pleasant, cohesive, and professional. A special shout-out to Anne! Best server in the game? We will be requesting you from now on. That 's my spiel. 5/5

Atmosphere was great. The food from the menu was a disappointment. The prices were very high. We will go for special occasions when the have specials like Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

Give this place a 1 star review for the following reasons: 1. Went in at 1:40pm on a Sunday with a party of 4. Only one other table for 2 came in after us, ate and finished before we got our appetizer. Food took an hour and 10 minutes to get to our table. We ordered 3 chicken and waffles and 1 burger with home fries. 2. Burger was ordered medium but what delivered over well done (had definitely been sitting under the heat lamps for a long time . The fried egg was more like scorched in oil. The home fries were soggy with dirty oil and shriveled up by the time they got to the table. Picture of sad burger included. 3. I really don't want to hear cussing coming from the kitchen when we are in a quiet restaurant with my children. 4. One of the 3 waffles were burnt. 5. The manager (I guess? came over to deliver one of the waffles (our meal ended up coming out in pieces over the course of about 10 minutes . He clearly saw the mess of food on our table and asked if everything came out OK. We didn't actually answer him, thought maybe he'd look at the plates and recognize that it was not ok, but no. He mentioned something about some machine being broken....??? I do have to note that: 1. The waitress was amazing and should be working somewhere much better. Super sweet, kept drinks full, and checked on us often. 2. The fried chicken was liked by those who ordered it. 3. It seemed fairly clean. We are from VA and when we first sat down and saw the menu and the charming decor, we said we'd make the trip to visit again. Definitely won't do that given the food quality and the fact it took over an hour to get food in an totally dead restaurant.

The steak was great I think they need to offer more sides like a vegetable you don't have to pay extra for the Mac n cheese was good we will be back service was great

Excellent all around. Kalie exemplifies hospitality. The prime rib was off the charts and the salad bar items were so fresh. If you’re passing through- definitely stop and enjoy a great dinner.
