Imperial Garden - Middleton

Food as always is delicious! We were a large group celebrating birthdays. Our server was very rude from the moment we arrived. She didn’t even wait for us to order. It was as if we we made a mistake to come. After she shoved plates in front of us, almost throwing the bowls in front of us, it was time to complain. After speaking to the manager, things quickly turned around. He immediately responded to our needs and the service improved. I have been a patron of Imperial Garden for over twenty years. This was the first time I encountered such behavior. Please go for the food, and hopefully you don’t come across the server we had that night.

As decades long patront, we noticed some disappointing changes with the departure of long time partner and manager, Karen Meier. Starting with the new manager, nothing was particularly good including the food, service, management, atmosphere, or even the cleanliness of the restaurant. We decided to wait a couple of months to visit again hoping that there would be improvement. We were not disappointed. The food was as good as ever. Service, atmosphere, cleanliness, ambience were back. While it's unlikely that any manager can or will ever match the grace, charm, or style of Karen, there was improvement in that regard as well. We look forward to returning to our usual schedule of visiting Imperial Garden on a regular basis.

The food was excellent, but we felt the waitress had to handle too many tables.

Pretty busy on Valentine’s Day. However, service was good food was wonderful and we had a good time. Thank you once again

This restaurant is among my favorites in Madison, WI. The food and service is consistently excellent and we enjoy eating there about once or twice a month!
