I have always loved ION, even worked there years ago. I have to say, the food has never been better. Everything is delicious, the teas and specialty cocktails are creative innovative, the staff is friendly and inviting. I live 1600 miles from ION and I think about it often. Everytime I’m in CT, you can find me at ION. Y’all are the best. Vegetarian options: This is a VEGAN menu! Dietary restrictions: GF options. Servers are knowledgeable and used to serving those with allergies. Tell them your allergies and they’ll always try to feed you. The staff was attentive, fast, and always happy to help. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very comfortable for us. I recommend ION to anyone! I 've been to this restaurant before and I have to say that the cornbread is some of the best cornbread that I 've ever had. Tonight I was served by a woman named Karen. She seemed like a nice lady. When she asked about an appetizer I told her I wanted the cornbread. That was really my main reason for going. It 's that good. She mentioned how the the cornbread with food is a lot of food. I didn 't think anything if it at that point. She told me the drink special. She talked about it like it as if Jesus made the drink himself. I decided to try it. The drink was terrible! They brought me out extra honey for itand everything but it was still terrible. She came back to take my order. I told her what I wanted and mentioned the cornbread again. She then says that 's a lot of food blah blah blah I looked at her and said oh. Because I didn 't understand where she was going with that. My food came out before my cornbread. So I ate. She came by my table to ask how the food was. I told her then asked again about the cornbread. Still no cornbread... After I finished my food. She asked did I want dessert. I said no. Because at that point who knows when I would have gotten it. I told her I 'd like my cornbread to go. She then says I forgot to put it in. I was just thinking that is just so much food She then asked if I wanted it warmed. No, cold is fine. She apologized after telling me again that 's a lot of food with the cornbread. Her mentioning how it was too much food as if she was paying for it. The customer service was lacking the fact that I had to ask several times for one thing was crazy but even crazier that Karen felt like she was doing me a favor by not giving me too much food I 've never in my life had something so weird happen to me.
