We could not believe how bad the service/food were. It took well over an hour to get our meal and then it was the worst dinner that we have ever eaten. I had Chicken Marsala and it tasted like packaged chicken gravy with heavy sugar in it. It was disgusting! I asked for a baked potato instead of rice and it came with rice. I told the waitress that I wanted a baked potato and was told that they were now out of baked potatoes. My daughter had a steak and it was so tough and undercooked (she ordered medium and it was ****! that she could barely cut it. When I told the waitress how bad it was, she said, sorry bout that! I would never recommend anyone ever eat here. It 's truly disgusting!!
Had lunch at The Manzanita at Twin Pines Casino in Middletown the other day. I have eaten here many times. There was a new server named Alberto. Very pleasant and engaging. Thought of everything and was friendly and efficient. He did a great job. Look forward to seeing him again. Also happy to see Mindy back. Another great server back at Manzanita. Will be back soon
We come here for birthdays and family dining. The food is great. I can't wait until they open up for more days and hours. Sometimes they feature foods from around the world. Best to call ahead to see what's on the Special.
I must admit that I was not expecting much from this rural casino restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the presentation, the price of the meal, and the service. Amanda provided excellent service, great care, and awesome suggestions regarding food selections.. Give this young lady a raise! The food came out quickly, the portion sizes were much larger than expected, and my burger and onion rings were delicious and filling. I also had a slice of carrot cake for desert. It was garnished with sliced carrots (great touch). I was stunned by the bill. I expected to pay at least $30 more than we did. I was in the area for a special event and I ate here because it was the only restaurant open at 8:30 pm. However, if I'm passing through the area again, I will be making an intentional stop here. PS My wife and her best friend had similar raving reviews about the Caesar salad, chocolate cake (she's not a fan but this was to die for), and the grown up grilled cheese.
Came to Twin Pine for an Elvis show. Drove 2.5hrs did some gambling. Went thought we'd enjoy a nice meal at Manzanita restaurant before the show Walked in and the place was 1/2 to 2/3 empty. We asked for a table. We were told it would be 20+ minutes as other large groups were coming after we got there. I guess we aren't as important to Manzanita as others are. I walked out And had a nice Hot dog/chips/soda I come there several times a year with a big group for anniversaries, birthdays, etc. we have always been treated well until this trip. Guess I'll be taking Manzanita and Twin Pine off my list
