Matty's Next Door - Middletown

The food is great, but the crowd can be a bit inconsistent on different nights. It’s a good idea to call ahead and check if they have live music or a DJ. There’s one pool table, and I believe there’s a pool league on Tuesdays. The trivia nights and karaoke are a lot of fun, and they always have games playing.

This was my second visit, and I enjoyed their burger and fries—both were really delicious! The fries were pleasantly not overly greasy or salty, which was refreshing compared to other places. I appreciated the atmosphere, and the staff and other diners were very friendly. They also have a lovely little patio area in the back.

If you're a fan of wings, this is definitely a restaurant worth visiting. They also make their own blue cheese dipping sauce, which is incredibly tasty!

This place is an excellent bar with Tony's food; there's really no better option out there. If you're not here, you're definitely missing out. The beer selection is unmatched, and I can enjoy a Tony's grinder that's as close to heaven as you can get!

I visited this restaurant for the first time to catch the Patriots game with a friend on Monday night. While the food and drinks were decent, the service left much to be desired. There was a small crowd at the bar, yet our glasses remained empty for extended periods. It wasn't just us; the guys next to us were equally frustrated. The bartender never asked if we wanted refills, and we struggled to get her attention. She rarely made eye contact, and I don't feel the need to raise my voice to get service unless I'm in a crowded bar. At one point, she completely disappeared from behind the bar to sit and chat with someone at a table. While I don’t mind bartenders taking a moment to socialize, customer care should always be the priority, and she should have been keeping an eye on us. Unfortunately, we did not feel taken care of at all.
