Canton Restaurant - Midhurst

Three words: Sand Ginger Chicken. That's all you need to know.

Was decently surprised by this place - I always drive by thinking it was a fast food type of deal offering take out only.

Forgive me for this review of Canton KitchenIt is past due and i can only say what little I can remember.

We have always enjoyed the Canton Restaurant for several years. We called to order take out and were surprised to hear a recorded announcement saying that they were unavailable, and listing their opening hours. Thinking it must be a mistake, we called 3 times more before they answered the phone. We ordered and picked up. When we got home we found that one of the dishes was szechuan and too hot to eat. We had not ordered any szechuan dishes. We called to ask about the mistaken dish. We got an argument on the phone. Nevertheless, we drove back to the restaurant and returned the item and received the correct one. Overall, the food was lukewarm. The lemon chicken was all breading and gristle. The honey garlic spareribs were floating in grease. Other dishes tasteless and not at all like the food we have had from there in the past. We hate to throw out food, but this is going in the trash and we will be going elsewhere in future.

Food is always good, prices are decent, quality is good and it is always done quickly. Location is good too.
