Saltgrass Steak House - Midland

The service was excellent! The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very inviting. We've visited several Saltgrass locations across Texas, and this one stands out as one of the best. The steak was juicy and cooked perfectly to our liking. The manager even came over to check on us, and we happily told him everything was amazing.

I hadn't visited this restaurant since moving to Midland a year ago, and I wish I had made the trip sooner. I brought two vice presidents from Houston with me, thinking it would be a great choice, but I ended up feeling quite embarrassed. The food portions were disappointingly small, almost like diet portions. The service was incredibly slow and unsatisfactory. I ordered an ultra beer, and it took over 30 minutes to arrive. Meanwhile, my guests managed to finish three-quarters of a bottle before my drink even came. If you're hungry or thirsty, I would recommend looking elsewhere!

I really don't get the negative reviews. Yes, it’s a chain and located in Midland, but the food quality is outstanding. Everything, from the beef to the bread, is made from scratch. We were in the mood for burgers, and they did not disappoint. They were perfectly cooked to medium rare and packed with flavor. The house-made buns were also fantastic. I had a classic cheeseburger, while she chose the BBQ burger. Both were delicious, and the portions were quite generous. Don’t miss out on the house-made ranch, honey mustard, and Thousand Island dressing; they pair excellently with the fries. Our server, Hannah, was amazing as well. I can't wait to go back!

Service was on the slow side. Also noticed the fries weren't fresh and hot. The ribs I ordered were good though.

The food was delicious. The service was awful. It took 20 minutes just to get water, even though we had three different servers come to our table.
