Pink Belle Cake House - Midlothian

I ordered a birthday cake for my grandmother's 88th birthday on October 19, 2020. It was a "European pound cake" with a chocolate whipped-like frosting that tasted just like chocolate ice cream. I had seen some previous reviews where customers claimed their cakes were undercooked, but that is simply not the case! If you ask Eunice, she'll gladly explain her cake-making process. Additionally, I did some research on "European pound cake," and it's quite different in texture and taste compared to what most people are familiar with. Our family, including my grandmother, rated the birthday cake a perfect 10! The frosting was smooth, not overly sweet, and light and airy.

Eunice is delightful, and her cupcakes are truly unique. If you're expecting the typical light and airy cake topped with heavy, sweet frosting, I recommend trying a cupcake first. The cake is a European pound cake — dense yet moist, and not excessively sweet. The icing is quite distinctive, resembling a whipped cheesecake in texture; it’s light and not overly sugary. These cupcakes are satisfying without leaving you feeling guilty for indulging. One popular flavor is honeydew, which tastes exactly like the fruit and is always a hit at parties. I personally adore Eunice's baking style, and from now on, Pink Belle Cake House will be our go-to for all birthday cakes and cupcakes.

My husband mentioned that he walked in last minute asking for a birthday cake, and he ended up bringing home one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. I'm not entirely sure what the base is made of, but it’s chocolate and incredibly delicious; I suspect it might be vegan, though I can’t say for certain. Regardless, it’s absolutely delightful. Some people might think the base is raw, but to me, the cake has the texture of a fudge brownie or cheesecake, and it really tastes like chocolate cheesecake as well. Needless to say, I'm sure we’ll be ordering all of our future birthday and event cakes from here. A big thank you to Pink Belle for my birthday cake — I can’t stop indulging in it, it’s that good!

Incredible cake! I ordered one for my wife’s birthday, and she absolutely loved it! The service was quick and easy, and the staff was fantastic. We got a chocolate cake with coconut icing. Everyone was wearing masks and clearly working hard.
