Suehiro Japanese - Midvale

The best Japanese restaurant in Utah!!! I’m so thrilled that we have at least one amazing Japanese place in the state. I love everything on the menu. My husband wasn’t a fan of sushi until he tried the California roll; now we have to order three rolls because first, he refuses to share, second, he always eats two rolls, and third, of course, one for me! The teriyaki is cooked to perfection—definitely try the beef, it's my favorite. Most meals come with a salad, which we always order extra because my husband loves it. The bento boxes are huge; I can never finish mine, so I save it for lunch the next day. You absolutely have to try it, you won't be disappointed!

My dear, this is hands down my favorite Japanese restaurant in Salt Lake County. My family and I have been enjoying meals here since it first opened.

This is one of my favorite sushi places! The sushi is absolutely delicious—what more can I say? The service is consistently friendly, and the staff at the sushi bar always recognize us. The ambiance and decor are stunning, and nothing compares to their legendary Confidential roll. Make sure to arrive with an empty stomach and order one; I’ve never tasted anything like it in the valley!

More Data Needed. In our first visit today we had the miso, seaweed salad, tempura shrimp and the Blue Heat and Diablo rolls. The miso and salad met the industry standard. The tempura lacked the lighter, more delicate mouth feel that I am accustomed to in Japanese cuisine often the result of overmixing and/or failing to keep the batter chilled but this may have been an aberration for this restaurant. The rolls were expertly constructed and flavorful. Phenomenal service made me forget that I was eating in a strip mall. While Suehiro didn 't knock my socks off it did manage to land a spot in the lower realms of my I like it list. At least for now.
