Church's Texas Chicken - Midwest City

I had a really disappointing experience. I waited over 20 minutes for the chicken to be ready, only to find out it was marinated in sweet tea. The food could have been prepared in the time I spent waiting, so I decided to leave. It seems like there are some inefficiencies in how the restaurant is run.

Terrible experience! SHKYAH needs to be retrained or let go. She completely ignored us and wouldn't engage with us when we tried to place our order. Even after we ordered, she remained silent. It was unbelievable. We noticed our order was marked as complete on the screen, yet we continued waiting for 25 minutes without any communication. We wanted to get her attention, but then a man came in and started working, offering complimentary drinks to other customers who were waiting. We kept waiting in vain. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and appeared overcooked. To top it off, there were no lids for the large drinks, so Shkyah gave us small cups instead, even though we paid for large ones. Absolutely ridiculous! We were so disappointed. They really need to either find better staff or consider closing up shop. I recommend looking at the reviews for this place—it's clear they need a secret shopper to uncover what’s happening behind the scenes!

The chicken and cookies were quite good, but the grey rice was a huge disappointment—mushy and overly salty. The potatoes were watery and lacked flavor. The service was extremely slow, and the soda was flat. There were no napkins available on the counter, and I had to ask and wait five minutes just to get one—only one! Overall, the quality of the chicken and cookies doesn't make up for the poor service and unsatisfactory sides.

If I could start less than one, I would. We said it was 30 minutes. When we finally got our chicken when the bag came through the window, we could smell the old fat. They looked at the chicken and you could immediately say that they kicked old chicken. Food: 1/5

The food is great. The time it takes to get it isn't.. better plan on waiting at least 10-15 mins for a 3 piece chicken strip meal. If you order a family meal it's gonna be 20+ minutes.Food: 4/5
