Great menu and quality and presentation of food. Obviously needs more traffic to get the right ambiance.
I have been to Lincoln a couple of times recently for lunch and have been pleased both times. The setting is lovely,,,it is on the second floor of a beautiful colonial home in Polanco overlooking Lincoln Park. We had a table on the terrace ..the weather was perfect and it was very relaxing looking at the park while eating. I had the soup from the chalkboard specials which was terrific and a salad....my husband had the salmon special which was cooked perfectly with a nice flavorful sear on the top. Service was excellent. And the price is very reasonable.
We came from an official reception and asked our driver for a local nice restaurant nearby the hotel in Polanco. His first choice was Bico but it was closed for a private party. Then we went to the Domit house where the 900 restaurant more like a beer place was fully booked. We chose the Lincoln restaurant with access through fantastic stairs in modern mix of elements with big chandeliers. The small restaurant was too clean in terms of décor but it was nice. Best place in the house a small varanda with a 4 seat table but it was a little chilly. Service was good. My wife asked for carpaccio and spaguetti alle vongole . Carpaccio was good but lacked the italian parmesan in slices and the pasta al dente was really too raw. My suggested appetizer of local fried cakes of sausages and parma, were not that good for my taste. The sealed tuna was very good and the mix with seasoned chopped tomato seemed strange by itself but when added to the tuna it did work. Suggest not to sit in the small table between the 2 large 8 seat tables as the wine glasses are behind it and there is some waiter traffic although not much as the restaurant is small.
This review is for the experience I had although I didn 't eat. Lincoln is in the beautiful and stunning Domit House. It shares the house with two other restaurants: 900: and Mar del Zur . 900 is super busy, a total success. In the second floor is Lincoln. When we arrived it was empty, saturday night at 9:00 pm. If a restaurant is absolutely empty at that day and hour it means is dying. When we were seated at the table, 10 waiters were pushing us to ask as fast a bottle of wine. We got up from the table and left. The point is: when a place like this is so empty, run away.
