The food took about 45 minutes to come to us. Fries were cold, fat. I ordered the black bean pack. There was no taste, no chipotle sauce, much iceberg salad. Didn't know they broke a burger, as really thought there were black beans. Very bland. Husband had Burger who was disappointed.
We just went through and found this place. An original cool old building. It was her steak night, which was a good meal and a great value. Beautiful selection of local beers as well.
It was purely by chance that found ourselves here in Milan, OH, on day 2 of a cross-country road trip. Milan seemed a fine example of small town America, with beautiful old buildings and a lovely town green or town square as they know it here. It was on the expansive lawn, as we stood admiring the old band shell, that we saw the sign Wonder Bar peeking through the columns and decided to go across the street for cold drinks and a late afternoon meal after driving over 400 miles. What a great place! We sat at the bar and were lucky enough to chat with the owner, who was justly proud of having restored this old establishment. So we learned all about Eddie 's Wonder Bar and what it took to turn into today 's popular and lively establishment, a sports bar if you please, but if you don 't, OK too. The screens featuring sports were there, but not intrusively so. It was Taco Tuesday, so that is what we ordered, 2 heaping, delicious plates, along with some frosty, giant-sized Margaritas. We relaxed and had fun, chatting with the friendly folks here and not leaving a single morsel behind. We had such a good time that we made it a point to come here again weeks later on the return trip, for a dinner of big, delicious hand-made burgers with crunchy hand-cut fries and local brews from the tap. Then we did a sunset walkabout. As a bonus when you come to Milan, you can have a very pleasant post-lunch or post-dinner walk through this charming town, birthplace of Thomas Edison, and once a thriving community thanks to a canal formerly connecting Lake Erie with a railroad that carried goods arriving here by boat to major markets. There are museums as well as informative historical signs, and some nice shops, but mostly Milan is just a wonderful place to stroll and admire the great old buildings everywhere, walking off the generous portions served up at the Wonder Bar. Highly recommended.
Food was awful! Steak was gristle, onion rings frozen, service slow. none of the seven people in our group happy. Stay away!
Food was great! I had the cash dinner and the portions were huge! The service was friendly and food and appetizers were very good! It is located in the town square, but we could not enjoy it as it was February and very cold.
