Conte's - Milford

This Italian restaurant is the best-kept secret in the area.

Portions small but very tasty. I'm a sauce snob but I really enjoyed the red sauce. Perhaps they could add a salad to be included in the meals..needed a snack when we got home!

We have never been treated so badly or so embarrassed at a restaurant. We ordered an appetizer of escarole and beans. It came out as a soup without a spoon. When we told the server that this was not what we expected and did not want soup the chef/owner came to our table to yell at us. He said he has been cooking for 35 years and this is what it is. He was rude and argumentative. We will never return

I went to Conte's for the first time with some friends and had a wonderful experience. We decided to sit in the bar area, which was very spacious, inviting, and clean. The ambiance was great and we enjoyed watching Chef Claudio cook for us while his daughter Melana helped us with our drink and food selections. I ordered the Chilean sea bass and it was the most fresh and delicious I have ever had. This restaurant in Milford, CT offers excellent food and service, so I highly recommend giving it a try.
