Location was clean. New staff was being trained when I came in, so it was slow finally being served. I never checked my order before I left, when drove back to my family's home with our food I find out our burgers where wrong. If it wasn't so far i would have gone back, so i called. They apologized, but it would have been been nice to have the burgers I paid for. What a disappointment. I doubt I will go back here, even though what we ended up with was good.Parking: Parking was easy for larger vehicles.
That's it, three strikes and you're out. that was the third time in a row I went for a mozza burger and the third time in a row it was just terrible.
Have never checked a fast food place before, but after countless filling orders and extremely bad customer service I am now forced to do this.
Today, my girlfriend and I ordered two Beyond Burgers, just with tomato, at the drive-thru in Mill Bay. I know it sounds plain, but I have to be cautious about my allergens. However, the woman at the window was quite curt, almost as if she was in a bad mood. When we received our modified Beyond Burgers, they were in the proper packaging, so we checked everything, as always. After taking a bite, I commented to my girlfriend that it tasted like the burgers had been left under a heat lamp for too long; they tasted overcooked, which was strange since they’re not in high demand. Then, a few bites later, I realized I was chewing on something that wasn't right. Suddenly, it hit me: I had been served a meat burger instead of the vegan option. I've been a vegan for five years, and today, I accidentally consumed meat—something I actively avoid due to my health concerns and the fact that meat is a carcinogen. I can’t shake the suspicion that they may be serving meat burgers to other customers as well. It's hard to believe that someone could confuse the modified vegan burger with a meat burger, particularly since they were in different packaging. To say I am outraged is an understatement. I called the restaurant immediately, and the person who answered could barely string together a coherent response, mentioning that such a mistake is rare. However, such a mistake should never happen at a fast-food restaurant. If they serve a meat burger in the place of a Beyond Burger and then package it as vegan, it feels careless, if not deliberate. I truly doubt this was an isolated incident; two burgers were affected today alone. I'm waiting for a call from a manager. This situation is completely unacceptable. As a warning, this A&W location is the worst I've ever visited, and it’s primarily staffed by young people. I don’t believe the manager has any proper training. If you can’t trust your food from a burger joint, we have a significant problem. I suspect this isn’t the first time they’ve made such a grave error. If they’re serving meat burgers to vegans, that’s a serious issue. *Edit*: As I suspected, the manager has yet to call me back. A&W Mill Bay is, without a doubt, the worst experience I've had.
