You can reach it either from the highway (both directions) as well as from Millau (you can drive in a separate car park that is not connected to the highway. The...restaurant seems to be from a real chef who wanted to offer some nice food that doesn't take long to cook. He ended up with some pancakes that have different options of food such as vegetarian, meat,... The staff is very friendly, speaks very good English and the food itself is also beautiful. But if you are really hungry, I would recommend ordering 2 as the portions are small. The desert wasn't a hit for us. You can use the opportunity to view the free information about the viaduct. Do not spend time watching the movie that is useless and shows nothing about the construction – the area ahead is much more informative. You can also go outside and go to the viewpoint to observe the viaduct. Note: There is a very steep section that creates challenges for wheelchair users!
When visiting the multi-pane cable-located viaduct via the Tarn Gorge Valley, we stayed in the Espace Gournand Café and Shop. Next to the tourist information center is located in the modified old Caussenarde farmhouse in Brocuéjoul's quiet area, right on the highway. You have a great selection of local products for sale here, by Rockford cheese, tamed vinegars, fillets of hand smoked trout, pork pâté and duck pudding. With internal seats to avoid the heat, or outdoor seats on the terrace overlooking the Viaduct towers, it is a beautiful place to break. TIP: Take a moment to try some of the incredible cheeses.
When visiting the bridge and entering the pages, our friends knew about the Espace Gourmand in the remaining area. Here you will find lots of information about the span as it was built and history of the area to the fine...short from this region. How amazing is it to find a 1 star Michelin chef “restaurant” in a highway rest area? The food was excellent and served in a “can” and we really enjoyed our stop. It seems a very large tourist area filled with locals and visitors in the area. It's a good stop to the north.
