Leonardo's Deli Cafe - Millbrae

This restaurant is always my go-to when I visit the city. Gary, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helpful.

I am ashamed to admit that I have lived in Millbrae for 23 years and have never tried Leonardo's until now, after being away from the state. The food here is amazing! I ordered the Raider on sourdough and not only are the sandwiches massive, but they are also incredibly flavorful. I usually find pesto to be a bit bland, but with this sandwich, your taste buds are hit with garlic and I love it. Absolutely delicious! This place is now a must-visit for me whenever I come back to visit.

I tried the Shaddy Daddy (similar to a pesto sandwich) on wheat bread, and it was quite tasty. The macaroni salad was also delicious. The staff behind the counter were very friendly, and there were plenty of tables available both indoors and outdoors.

The macaroni and cheese was not available, so I ordered extra potato wedges instead.

I ordered a custom sandwich and was given the smallest sandwich I have ever received. Considering it cost almost $20, I expected a larger size. The taste was good, but it was disappointing in terms of portion size.
