No lemon pepper Flavor at all besides the sprinkle of LP on top. The potato was huge and the bar has a plethora of toppings,(wich I like). The cheese sauce has no flavor though. The service was good so I will give them another try...someday. Overall
A every nice place to eat, and Shana was very nice to me.
It's been several months since I've gotten a pizza from here. When I walked in, there was no one behind the counter. So, after waiting a minute, or 2, I stepped through the Employees Only, and hollered, Anyone here!? No answer. So figuring the prep person was in the bathroom, I sat down to wait. One nice thing that COVID has brought, the aluminum tables and benches, have been stacked to one side. And, they have padded chairs about 6 feet apart. Well, after another 3 minutes of waiting, someone from the Parent Company, Octagon Cafe, came over to wait take my order. Again, it's still advertised but not offered, is the Thin crust pizza. So, since I had a fresh 12 pack of beer, just begging to have pizza to go with it, ; I decided on a pepperoni pan pizza. Well, the CSR had to go back across the entrance, to get the pan of dough. : o While the pizza was good, it didn't turn out great. Apparently, someone didn't spray enough oil on the bottom pan to allow it easy separation. And, because I didn't want the pizza cut (they have a 8 slice cutter , but the cutter hadn't been cleaned after the last use. So, not knowing how long it had been, I ended up bringing the pie pan home. So, now, I'll have to make another stop to return the bottom. And, after all that fighting, the topping had shifted, making for a lopsided pizza. At least I didn't have to pay a tip (I went to add it to the credit card receipt, but she told me not to worry about it . After getting back to my place, and when it was time to cut, and heat, the desired number of slices (3 of 16 , I too, had to fight to get the pizza slices off the pan. To be honest, while the price is hard to beat, after today's episode there, I'm not sure if I'll go back, or not.
Chose to come here for a change from Longhorn or Mexican food. It seems to be the only place in town for country/soul food. It's a good price for a meat and two veggies, but like most similar outfits like this, it's stuff from a can. It's better than fast food. The staff didn't seem to have organization to their methods, since they all appeared to be scrambling with different tasks. The person who appeared to be in charge, was ringing up meals sort of. When we arrived to pay, there was one person in front of us, and no one at the register. We waited and watched as a circus unfolded behind the counter. The four people scrambling and dodging each other were weaving and running about like actors in a comedy show. I was mildly amused, but began growing concerned about the food that was beginning to get cold. I got hopeful when the woman returned to ring up the plate in front of ours, but then she disappeared again. She came back a few moments after and rang up the woman in front of us. We were then asked by another woman what we wanted to drink. The cashier had started reviewing our order, and also speaking to someone just out of sight, and was floundering between us and them, when she abruptly stopped handling our order and stepped away to speak with them. My brother began mumbling comments about her leaving before handling our order. The woman returned unapologetically after 25 seconds, and began plugging numbers into the register, but not without hesitation. I've learned to be patient with other people's journeys through life, as we don't know what others are dealing with be it difficulties, lack of awareness, or incompetence. There's always some underlying factor to cause such instances in the actions of humanity.
It was so good! I've gonna three times now and it's definitely my favorite place to go when I'm hungry! Definitely my number one spot in Georgia!
