The Lammersdorfer Hütte invites you after a walk to the garnettor, approx. 400 meters above Lake Millstatt, to a good rest. We had a great cold snack huge plate with ham of all kinds, cheese from nearby milk, sausages, spreads. Fair prices, very friendly staff. A private toll road, with some steep sections, but never hard to drive, takes you from the shores of Lake Millstatt. Easy parking, good with dogs.
Fantastic views, food and personnel. However, it is very busy due to its accessibility. A toll road goes to the cottage.
We came here from the recommendation of our apartment owner and we were really impressed by the streets that it offers and the panoramic view. If you come from Obermillstatt, there is an entrance to the mountain where you pay 5 euros per car for entrance. The little cottage was full of flowers and delicious smell of food. All outdoor seating offers a great view, surrounded by cheerfully grown cows. We had their plates of Austrian typical cold cuts and cheeses with a large brown bread slice. The plates were garnished with pickled cucumbers and peppers, with red onions and some white roots (one equivalent of washabi in taste). The dried meats lubricated so well salami, smoked ham, smoked bacon, boiled ham and a mountain cheese. These were simple, but perfect for an outdoor meal on the mountain not too hard for a nice warm day as today. We had a large plate (about 9 euros) and a small (about 6 euros), a 0 5 liters of water and a beer. Everything was 21.90 euros. Value for money. Service was good. Not too fast, but we didn't have to wait too long. You can also buy mountain cheese in their small shop in the next Türberg. Many parking spaces on a beautiful mountain slope. We recommend a stop for drinks or for a meal. We are not hikers or bikers, but this is obviously a starting point for hikers to go to the garnettor for an hour.
After a 3 hours mountain hike, we had a small snack and some Kaiserschmarrn. It was very good and a great place to rest after the hike. Do not miss it.
