One of the best kept secrets for Nepali and fusion cuisine in Milpitas, CA. The ajwain garlic lentil soup is amazing, really good to open you up if you are a little under the weather. The fried rice and steamed momos are not to be missed. The hot sauce is a house special. Very prompt and friendly service. You would feel that you are in Nepal considering the ambience and decor. Sometimes they have live music too. Go on and try, your taste buds will thank you.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.
The standout dish was the Paneer Chilli Momos, which were perfectly crispy and a refreshing departure from the usual soggy deep-fried versions. The Thali served on traditional brass plates truly captures the essence of Nepali cuisine. Don't forget to try the Kathmandu Chiya (Nepali tea) served in charming tea glasses for an added touch of authenticity. While the restroom cleanliness and seat covers could use improvement, these minor issues do not overshadow the outstanding culinary adventure at Kathmandu Cuisine. Overall, it is a fantastic choice for those looking to experience genuine Nepali flavors in a captivating dining atmosphere. I would gladly return for another taste of their cuisine, with the hope of better restroom conditions. Vegetarian options are plentiful and parking is ample at Kathmandu Cuisine.
I found this place to be overpriced. I ordered delivery through DoorDash. I got veg hakka noodles and veg manchow soup. The food was all right, however, I didn't find value for the money I paid. The 16oz soup was a whopping $14.40. Most places I've been to provide at least 32oz of soup pho as well) when it's light like this.Noodles tasted good but I didn't find the quality sufficient to match the price $16.80). I ended up paying over $40 for these two items including delivery. Overall, I was left feeling disappointed.Perhaps the experience and prices vary if you are dining in, and for that reason, I give this 3 stars.
1) Good for team lunch2) Steamed momos are amazing and must try they are essentially what you are here for anyway.3) Barbecue stuff is amazing. It has a zest of mustard. Also since it is served with some salad, and peanuts, it would serve as a nice accompaniment to drinks so in case you have a small home party with friends, get some take out of the barbecue.4) if you miss home, they have chicken lollipops as well!!!Had an amazing time. They have good vegetarian options as well.
