I have been driving by this place for months waiting for it to open. The "opening soon sign" was a daily site.Well.... it was worth the wait.Stopped in for a quick bite. Place is very clean and full of friendly staff. The smell of amazing food hits you soon as you walk in.The counter food looks very fresh and appetizing. The chicken for the Shawarma had a taste i have not had... and i loved it.This will be my new spot for the need for a quick Shawarma fix.wish them all the luck.Great food and nice people.Spread the word!!!
After a long anticipated wait, Lazeez Milton finally opened. We are big fans of the Meadowvale location (across from ToysRUS) and are converts from Pita Nutso and even Osmow's. Most of these chain, Lebanese fast-food, shawarma places are all the same now with little to differentiate them, however Lazeez seems to do that tiny bit extra (perhaps because they literally are the new kids on the block). The restaurant is in a stand-alone building in the middle of a plaza parking lot that houses the Rad Brothers Restaurant and Bar as well as the Milton Goodwill at the corner of Ontario Street and Derry. Unfortunately for Shwarma Town (located across the street in the Food Basics Plaza), Lazeez's shiny new fascade and franchised formula for menu and marketing, will surely swallow up the competition. We grabbed some take out on the last day of school before summer officially started on a hot, humid Friday afternoon. The place was absolutely packed and all of the patrons were Middle Eastern, which to me suggests that the quality of the food is authentic and somewhat genuine. I always gauge how ethnic a restaurant is by the cultural make up of the majority of its patrons. While I'm certain that, Lazeez had to have given its menu the Canadianized once-over to appease western palates, I'm willing to bet that it's still pretty genuine in comparison to the other shwarma alternatives available in town. Clearly the growing Muslim community in Milton seemed to be enjoying the food and were more than happy to give Lazeez their business. We ordered a large chicken shwarma sandwich (that was the size of my forearm), and two chicken shwarma dinners on rice (one Lazeez on the Rocks and One chicken shwarma platter that comes with rice, potatoes and salad). Total for the whole thing was $36. The portions were absolutely massive. If you are averse to spicy food, ask for NO SPICE because even Medium Spicy is like molten lava and will leave you sweating! Customer service is very friendly and fast. I'm hoping that the owners stick with this formula as the business continues to grow and becomes more popular in the expanding city, unlike other notable shwarma franchises who have gone downhill and have changed from their earlier days and success in Streetsville (you know what places I'm talking about!).
Everyone waited for this place to open with a lot of hype. But really its just another Shawarma place in Milton. For a brand new place the interior is underwhelming and the food is average. I'm glad I tried it but my favourite Shawarma place in Milton is still Shawarma Corner Milton
My husband and I get the chicken on the rocks and chicken shawarma from here about once or twice a month when we crave it.
