Friendly place with a good ambiance food excellent just a bit long of a wait for food to arrive but worth the wait when it did

Really enjoyed our experience at the Fratellis Bar restaurant. Food was lovely and service was excellent! The waitress was really very helpful and recommended things to try. Very informative too. Only thing was they didn't have n alcohol licence but we could bring drinks in and shop was next door so not too much of a hassle:

This was our first time and we'll be back. This is quite an edgy, funky place and I would say we were probably the oldest people there. However, the music was great being all 80's classics. I did ask them to turn down the speaker nearest to us because it was just a little too loud for comfortable conversation. They did it immediately. The artwork painted on the wall is also fabulous. The menu is quite unusual and although they describe it as Italian Turkish fusion that won't help you understand it at all. My better half has to eat gluten free and she was well served with most things being GF or GFA meaning gluten free available. She started with a beautiful Chorizo Scotch Egg which she absolutely loved. I'm don't eat any animal products and the choices for me were far more limited. There is only one vegan starter and they'd run out of that. However they kindly adapted one of the mains to be a starter and that was lovely. It was BBQ pulled jackfruit. My other half then had the brisket Kabini thing which was also fabulous and I had the double patty version of the Beyond Meat burger and some sweet potato fries. One thing you should note is that this restaurant doesn't have an alcohol licence at the moment so they will call you to confirm your booking and then tell you to bring your own. For us that was great. It meant my better half brought with her a very well chilled bottle of white wine which she already knew she loved and it cost her £6.50 rather than £20 plus. They don't charge any corkage. All the staff were super friendly and the meal was good value, particularly as we didn't have to pay for any alcohol. I have to say that the food took longer to arrive than we would expect. However, it was a Saturday evening and they explained that the kitchen was also really busy with takeaway orders. They apologised for the delay which we understood. We'll definitely go back as we had a great experience and this is a really different kind of place to go.
