Visited the Horseshoe for the first time for a get together with old friends over a bite to eat, and had a very pleasant evening. There was a decent selection of ales on tap including Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Hawkstone IPA, Tring Brewery mild, I had the cod chips for my meal and it was excellent, a lovely piece of cod perfectly cooked served with very tasty minty peas. Superb. I think everyone else was pleased with their food, especially those who ordered the rack of ribs. The whole pub has stone/tiled flooring, and the decor is a little spartan, these combined don't help with acoustics, so I can see that at times some may find it a little noisy. Overall a decent village pub that does some great food. Would happily return
Such a lovely local pub. Super friendly staff, quick service, cosy decor and great food (try the sticky ribs and triple cooked chips! .
We came a couple of weeks ago with family for a Christmas get together. We hadn’t booked the Christmas menu, we were so grateful to be called to make sure we didn’t miss out and get our choices in. The food was exceptional, a member of our family has to have gluten free food, he had a really good choice of options and the food was beautiful. The team as always were friendly and we felt so welcome and looked after! Thank you for a lovely time.
Lovely pub with amazing food. The beef brisket is so tender, you won’t be disappointed. Friendly staff and prompt service. Will be back to try your Sunday lunch menu which a local gentleman said is a must!
