There's room for improvement on the food. The warm scones was probably the best from the selection. We were surprised we had to share a small pot of jam and cream between us though. The venue was nice with a large car park on site but I would not recommend afternoon tea here.
The building is quite large, with chalets to the rear. The dining area is quite dated, with a rustic cafe feel. The food is expensive, a brunch for 2 with 2 alcoholic beverages was around £66.00, I have had better for much less, the service was good, both courteous and timely. I would say this was a one-off, as you could go to a Harvester and have a three course meal for 2 and drink for the same money. Rooms: 4
Lovely hotel, room was beautiful, food also excellent. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
The room was OK, but a bit basic and despite a constantly flickering light it wasn't too bad as a place to stay. The grounds are stunning and the staff friendly, but the breakfast wasn't great and all in all, not sure it was as great as it could be. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 3
