I had to get a menu myself and was then told to look at the menu on JustEat.com by a rude staff member. When I returned to order, there was still nobody at the counter and I had to tap on the glass to get their attention. After ordering, I was told the food would be ready in ten minutes. However, I had to wait an additional 12 minutes before my food arrived. The service was slow, and the food tasted like it had been microwaved. The quality of the food was poor, with tough, dry, overcooked chicken and a beef dish that was hot on the outside but cold on the inside. I was charged extra for vegetables and could hear unprofessional behavior from the kitchen. The prawn crackers were pre-packaged and the chopsticks and fork were of low quality. The sauces were in pre-packaged sachets and nothing seemed fresh. The staff did not seem to care about the customer experience. This restaurant is far from authentic Asian cuisine and should be closed down to make room for a proper Chinese restaurant.
I would like to share my experience on Tripadvisor for others to benefit from. I recently visited Yamyam to Go and ordered the teriyaki chicken with noodles. The quality was extremely poor - the chicken was rubbery and the noodles seemed very old. To my surprise, the food was heated in a microwave. When I asked the man if it was ready-made food, he confirmed and proceeded to microwave it. The taste was absolutely terrible and I couldn't eat it. The advertisement of fresh food was a complete lie. I do not recommend this restaurant, as it is not worth visiting. Save your money and go elsewhere for better quality food at a reasonable price. I will not be returning.
Very disappointed to find out that the food is cooked via microwave; also according to their website (franchise section) it isn't even cooked/prepared on premises.
As a vegan, takeaways can be tricky and often bland, but YamYam's vegan option was delicious! Can't wait for the Northampton branch to open!
Tried the Wolverton place tonight and can't say I was blown away by it. Hubs went to collect around 6.30ish and found only 1 person serving. They'd run out of teriyaki so the guy had to go make up more and of course then there was no one else to serve. On its opening night, on a Saturday too, there should have been 2 people to serve. We had 2 medium teriyaki chicken with noodles which were £4.95 each and only half filled fine for a snack but if you want a main meal, go for a large. Also disappointed that this isn't fresh. It's all pre prepared and heated up in a microwave so the noodles were squishy and the chicken a bit rubbery. So I think it has much to do to improve before it competes with places like Eastern Express and becomes more than a 3* takeout.
