We were surprised at how good the food was! Definitely not pub food. Service was very good, too. I would recommend this place over the hotel’s fancier restaurant if you want a more casual experience but still want yo enjoy excellent food.
We stayed at the beautiful Spanish Point for 6 nights and originally planned to dine at the surrounding restaurants. However, we ended up eating at Johnny Burke's for 4 nights for a few reasons. Firstly, the food was excellent and of high quality. Seafood lovers should definitely try the nightly special, as I enjoyed the Sea Bass and Black sole which were both delicious. Additionally, the service provided by Tony and his team was friendly and efficient. A special mention to Maude the bartender for her warm smile! It's worth noting that her father, Preacher, owns the Spanish Point surfing school. The atmosphere at the pub was cozy and inviting, making it feel like a longtime favorite. We are looking forward to returning to see what Tony has on Special next time!
I had a family lunch on Saturday. Delicious food. Of course, chicken wings could not be missing. I love them. I also thank the young Spanish woman Carmen for the service. A very nice, smiling and nice girl. I highly recommend. I will be back for sure soon.
We chose to order the Galleon seafood platter for two at the restaurant. When it was served, it looked fantastic. Although most of the seafood was delicious, I personally found the Crisp Scampi Tails to be very overcooked and tough, just like when I accidentally overcook my scampi at home. The salmon, crab, and daily catch were all delicious. Our server Tony was excellent, checking on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed.
