I have my favorite Asian dishes but today I would order something that I wouldn't normally order and I opted for beef Lo Mein with an egg roll. Here we go as I picked up my order the woman said pork Lo Mein and egg roll which I quickly corrected her with beef. She actually questioned me if I'm sure I said beef and not pork so I played the phone call back to her and she remade my order. The place itself was nice looking and clean but dated and completely empty for lunch so now I'm wondering if I chose the wrong place. I still wonder why Asian restaurants are empty because I see it all the time, has society reduced Asian restaurants to take out for the most part ?. The egg roll was tasty and better than average but not that great egg roll that I'm in search of. Since I have not had Lo Mein in forever I couldn't remember exactly what it was and I barely remember what chop suei is I'm in for a surprise. The beef Lo Mein didn't look like much because it was mostly thick noodles, very little beef with a few shreds of green onion and fewer carrot shreds so all noodles mostly. To my surprise it was tasty with good flavor, the noodles were sticky/long al dente. The beef was tender but it was mostly shreds. They were pretty skimpy on the beef and I eventually got tired of eating mostly noodles. Although the beef Lo Mein was good I probably wouldn't order it again because I like more meat/vegetable dishes not mostly noodle dishes. I would definitely try one of my favorite dishes from the menu next time.
Only been here once but, this place gets flying colors for their Pork Kim chi alone! What an interesting and well done dish! The broccoli that came with it wasn't exciting, but that was fine b/c it seemed healthy. Everything else was flavored well and super fun. That was my husband's meal. I had the moo goo gai pan. Very good indeed. Just what you'd want not amazing but not bad. Just good. The wonton soup left something to be desired, and the bubble tea was more tea than taro flavor, but it was a good experience and I'd certainly return.
Food always good.. I start order from East Garden about a year ago n' they haven't let me down yet. The Best Chinese food and Milwaukee right now.
We decided to try someplace new for Chinese food and we were not disappointed. When I lived on Oakland 30 years ago this restaurant always had a good reputation so I thought I would give it try since we were in the area. They have an extensive menu with Szechuan and traditional cantonese entrees. We started with egg rolls and had Chicken Almond Ding and Seafood Delight for our entrees. The egg rolls wanton wrap was thin and crispy and not greasy. Our entrees were very prepared. The vegetables pea pods, baby corn, carrots were all fresh and crunchy along with water chestnuts and mushrooms. Okay we weren't really adventurous but these old standbys were delicious and exactly what we wanted. The restaurant was decorated with Chinese Art and was very clean. The service was excellent and prompt. We will return.
We are repeat customers. This is our go-to place for good Chinese food, so we are there usually ordering delivery. The food is always well done and very prompt. The orders are accurate and the delivery person is very courteous. I have some food in the refrigerator left over from last night. Always very satisfied.
