Gold Rush Chicken - Milwaukee

I stopped by this restaurant and mentioned that I had never been there before, so I needed a moment to decide what to order. The staff taking orders asked me if I was ordering for myself or for a group, and recommended either the 4 chicken tenders plate or the ribs. I decided to go with the tenders, but instead of receiving tenders, I got 4 mixed pieces of chicken. Even though I was the only customer ordering at the time, with three staff members present who could easily hear my order, I still received the wrong dish. I'm not sure if they mistakenly thought it was a nice gesture to give me a different chicken dish, if they mixed up my order, or if they simply didn't pay attention. I was disappointed because I didn't enjoy the bone-in chicken they gave me, so it felt like a waste of both my money and time. I left feeling confused and let down. I believe the restaurant's chicken is good for the area, but I would caution others to double-check their order before leaving.

I frequently order from this restaurant and the food is consistently good. I have never experienced any issues with the food being cold or missing. I will continue to order from here as long as they are open. The only reason I am not giving it 4 stars is because delivery drivers sometimes do not call when they arrive, causing me or my girlfriend to wait outside. Now I prefer to do pick up orders, but it is still worth it.

This is our favorite spot for fried chicken. The quality is excellent and they are quite efficient in preparing it as well!

THE BEST fried chicken in Bay View, hands down. Staff is friendly, easy to joke with, and an all-around good group. Food is always hot and ready on time. Do the right thing and get a strawberry malt with your order, you won't be sorry for long.

Best chicken in the city. Been so as long as I can remember, probably 45 years for sure.
