Maru Korean Bistro - Milwaukee

Been a few times and service is always average at best but usually substandard. Shame because the food is really good. I recommend they hire some adults rather than social media distracted hungover college kids just looking for some quick drinking money.

Food was pricy bit excellent. The place was pretty empty for a Thursday lunch.

Atmosphere is nice and all, customer service is superb. However, me and my girlfriend found hair in both of our food.

Came into the restaurant around 1:30PM on a Saturday. Literally only one other table with guests who had already received their food, rest of the restaurant was empty. We were seated, told to scan the QR code for a menu all is well. But 10 minutes goes by, 15, then 20. Server never stopped by the table, even though it was essentially just us and the the two servers in the whole restaurant. My wife and I kept trying to catch the server's eyes as they wandered around around, and they seemed determined to avoid our eye contact. Never offered any drinks, never took our order, or shared any reason for a delay. After about 25 minutes we just decided to get up and leave. Wouldn't know if the food is good as we weren't even offered the chance to try. Weirdest restaurant experience I've had in awhile, wouldn't recommend it if you are hungry.

Reviewing Google pictures before making my choice to try out this place I assumed there would be complimentary side dishes served like many other Korean restaurants. I was definitely fooled.I started with the Beef King Dumpling as an appetizer and ordered the Spicy Squid Pork Belly as the main. The flavors were amazing and I was very pleased.Taking one star off because of the deceiving Google image.
