Pat's Rib Place At Milwaukee Public Market

Definitely enjoyed the Smoked beef brisket sandwich! Flavorful and house sauce was good!

Great service, today they ran out of ribs so I got 1/2 lb of rib tips, they were a bit tough and hard to chew. Maybe they were not slow cooked long enough. The house sauce is amazing. I also got fried okra and it was very good with the hot sauce. The rib tips did have an excellent flavor.

Best BBQ I’ve had in years. True authentic black soul food which couldn’t be better.

We were visiting from out of town and happened upon Pat's at the Milwaukee Public Market. I am a bit of a BBQ snob because, in my opinion, my Dad makes the best BBQ, but Pat's was great and held its own! I got the brisket sandwich. The meat was smokey, the sauce selection was great (I like the special best and the husband like Mr. Browns, but you can't go wrong with the House), the bun was fresh and pillowy soft. Even the coleslaw was good and I don't really like slaw that much. It complimented the sandwich well. I thought the baked beans were tasty (well-seasoned) even though I prefer mine a bit thicker. We finished the mean off with banana pudding--yum! If I lived in the area, I would definitely be back. Good BBQ is hard to come by, don't miss out on this delicious place!

Used to love supporting this place when they were in Waukesha where they started and grew from our loyal support. Then I remember when it became more important to be a black business and go down to the city to be more inclusive. Because society has diminished so much now it’s all about playing the race card these days. It absolutely shows a lot about the owners!
