Meishu Center - Minato

An amazing hidden gem and definitiw a highlight of my trip through japan. the highly qualified staff helped me to select sakes for rehearsals that reflected both my own tastes and challenged me to try what I would normally not experience. my visit opened definitiw my eyes and expanded my eyes with regard to the many species and styles of the snake.

Fantastic spot to try many different types of nihonshu! Four counter seats and then plenty of standing room. There are a few snacks available, but the main reason for coming here is to drink! They have a very helpful English guide to understanding the styles of nihonshu and the brewing process. Love stopping by in the evening for a quick drink!

If you want to do a sake tasting, this is definitely the place to visit. English friendly staff, and guide book. Big selection to choose from. Small sides and pairings available. Please sip sake, and do not drink it like shots. Approximate price per glass is 250-700¥.

Very good, was able to taste various types of Sake. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. It was a very fun experience for our trip to Tokyo.

I'm not a sake connoisseur, so can't speak to the quality of the selection. However, a lot of options are available for those wanting to taste. Most expensive bottles are ¥1500 to taste/¥6000 to buy, so close to bar-like pricing. Staff were helpful, and they pour fairly, so as a tourist looking to sample (and then buy, but I did not say so in advance, not to influence), I was happy.
