I found “The Counter” in Tokyo Midtown Roppongi out of blue and initially hesitated to enter, then thereafter, I took my first step in and the other steps just followed on it own. I ordered their signature burger, paid extra ¥300 for 8 ounce and with half and half beer. I was amazed to see the size, the set up of burger, the cheese, fried onions and the fries. It was too good but to write the feeling of goodness I have no other words to express the stomach happiness and joy of resting and enjoying it to fullness. See the photos, and go enjoy yourself. It was one of the best burgers in Roppongi.
Fully customisable burgers. They have a vegetarian option which is still rare in Japan. Note that it doesn’t in any way try to imitate meat flavour. It’s just a vegetable patty. All ingredients are fresh and high quality. Grill vegetables skewers are amazing. Atmosphere is very authentic. Overall: a great place.
The burgers look great and taste pretty good, but given all of the burger options in Tokyo I will choose one that isn't 70$ for 4 sandwiches. 4 burgers and 3 beers for 10k¥ If you don't mind paying high prices for slightly above average food this is your kind of place.
I only give this place a 3 purely because of the price. Made my own burger, and the filling selection was awesome. However, the size of the bun made it difficult to not lost half of it to the floor. You could always use a knife and fork, but where's the fun in that? Fries: excellent if you like super shoestring. Chilli: lots of meat, but a little on the bland side. Bottom line... If you don't mind Shelling out the extra cash on making your own burger, (about 1800 yen, before sides) then go for it. The options are amazing. If not, their classic menu is still good value
Customisable burgers cooked and served to a high-standard. I actually got the grilled chicken breast burger because that's somewhat of a rarity and it was great. Recommended
