The restaurant is tucked away in a cozy basement, which may require some effort to locate, but is well worth the search.
I came to ristorante Senso for my girlfriend's birthday celebration where we ate the 8 course set meal. Every dish was superb and we experienced a wide variety of tastes and textures. The atmosphere was clean and sleek with an open kitchen and Italian feel. The service was exceptional and I can not fault it in anyway. I very much recommend.
Came across Ristorante Senso whilst looking for an Italian style restaurant for Valentines Day. Reservations were easy and efficient and the directions via their website was very useful. It's a cozy restaurant with attentive staff who welcomed us warmly upon arrival. My partner speaks Japanese but I do not and the team were very accommodating, even preparing an English menu on the spot. A welcome gesture that set the standard for the remainider of the evening. There was a choice of an 8 or 10 course meal with wine pairing. We chose the 8 courses with 3 wine pairing. The food was sublime, from the mousse of tomato caviar on buckwheat sponge cake to the caesar salad with octopus, duck breast with pomegranate and pina colada...just amazing!! The wine was exceptional with a combination of sparking, white and red...the red was outstanding...I only wish I remembered the name! The staff were attentive but unobtrusive and really helped make the night an enjoyable one. A big thank you again to the team for such an enjoyable night!
It was a very good restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere. I would like to have dinner there next time.
The atmosphere seems to be Italy's secret hideaway, and the Italian concept where Japanese chefs feel the skill of texture, taste change, wine pairing, and newness is also surprising!
