Every time we go cross-country skiing, we take a detour—sometimes up to 60 miles—just to get a few cups of this amazing dish! I would be thrilled if the chef would share the recipe, as I’d love to try making it myself (there’s just no good gumbo in Massachusetts, let me tell you!). It’s definitely worth a stop, and the sweet potato cake is also quite delightful!
The restaurant serves delicious home-cooked meals, and their cheesecake is simply amazing. I had the sugar cane cake and the muffuletta sandwich with Cajun fries. My family enjoyed the gumbo.
The staff here are incredibly courteous and helpful. The food is freshly prepared, the dining area is clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained. They also offer petrol and diesel, and the location is conveniently close to Interstate exit 47. So the next time you’re passing through, don’t overlook this place. You won’t be disappointed!
This place is pretty busy at noon. The bread on the steak melt is excellent and the prices are fair. A nice lady brought the food to the table when it was ready.
Chicken gumbo is the best! Get a quart to take home.
