Even amidst the commotion of the global market I always feel like I’ve been offered a seat at someone’s table and given a home cooked meal. This is a truly special place… we’re lucky to have them.Food: 5/5
I’ve ordered food here a handful of times and I truly feel this is deserving all five stars. This place really feels like small batches, home style cooking. It is remarkably affordable, too. There’s a lot of good food at the global market, but this place beats them all. Thanks !
Today I am eating the Salmon and Shrimp plate from #MoroccanFlavors at the Midtown Global Market. I just had to try this plate after I saw my colleagues have this plate time and time again! This plate was fresh and flavorful! Chefs Hassan and Raja provide the best customer service. 5 stars! If you haven't had a chance to stop by the global market recently, they have done a complete refresh of the space. Bright colors. Signage everywhere. And there are amazing events out on by the MGM team. Stop by and order this plate! I highly recommend.
I have three words for you: Moroccan...Lamb...Shank. Period. This is the only place within 100 miles...well I don't know even if you can get this in Chicago...Anyways, if you are a world foodie this is your pilgrimage. No joke. The chef is way cool. His wife is a baker and they're planning to start selling her creations in the same space soon. Well we can't wait. Yes, get the Lamb Shank Tagine (also known as Tajine). It comes with the lamb, rice, and these delectable garnishes like olives and other pickled things that just go pow in your mouth. Of course there a little bits of raisins or currants...well little sweet things. Mix up your bites to get a party in your mouth. The lamb is so tender. Tagine is a slow cooking process with the clay vessel called by the same name. I think they will have this dish in heaven. Oh they will validate your parking. So you can order a second helping of Tagine.
Moroccan Flavors is by far one of my local places I love to eat at. Not only is the owner very detail orientated, but the execution of the flavors is outstanding! Their Moroccan Olives are outstanding, the couscous will make you come back for more. I could write a short novel on the intricacies of flavor and how good this restaurant is.Parking: Validation is offered by the merchants.Wheelchair accessibility: Most doors are ground level, and or have concrete ramp for access.
