Great job! ????????
This Patrick's location has a lot smaller menu than the one near Southdale, but it definitely has its own charm. It's generally also a lot less busy so you can go there for peace and quiet, or as a quick stop when you're already shopping at Bachman's.Perfect for a Sunday afternoon or for lunch on a day off. The French onion soup is really nice and is available almost everyday. I also recommend the brie fig sandwich.
The last time we were at Patrick's, it was years ago before they had dinner service and we just stopped by for some desserts. The desserts are OK. As my dude likes to say: Good, but nothing to write home about. This time, we had dinner and the food wasdelicious. We ordered the rack of lamb... superb... Coq Au Vin was good, a little dry, but not too dry for our cat to turn hernose up at, and the scallops appetizer was luscious. It was light, but if you eat the whole complimentary baguette of Frenchbread with it, it makes for a fine entree. Although we had to wait longer than usual to pay our bill (seemed like they wereshort staffed), overall service was good.
Patrick's Bakery is a true hidden gem in the metro.
The past two times we?ve come here, we?ve had really bad customer service. Eye rolling, sighing, unfriendly, etc. the food is absolutely mediocre. The pastries are dry and at least one day old. The prices are that of a higher end restaurant. I?m verydisappointed in my experience.
