We stayed at Villa Maria and they catered brilliantly to GF. The evening meals are open to the public and the family are all absolutely lovely. Best view in Minori. The setting is on their lemon farm, and the menu is set for four courses. The antipasti is delicious, the pasta dishes each night (seafood one was our favourite), second course and dessert (lemon tiramisu is incredible) are all gluten free optioned. The menu is set, but you always have two options at each course. Highly recommend just to experience the genuine kindness of the family, stunning views and lovely food.
Absolutely, hands down the best meal I had in Italy, and perhaps in my entire life. We went a bit early for aperitivo and I had the best limoncello spritz I’ve had on the coast while my family enjoyed a bottle of homemade wine and the best freshly squeezed limonata. We also were brought some yummy appetizers (I was brought a separate plate of GF meats sausages as well as bread to dip in their homemade olive oil). Then for dinner we were brought several courses of the most delicious food imaginable from homegrown vegetables, cheeses meats, homemade lemon pasta (with GF pasta w/fresh tomato sauce for me!Perhaps when making a reservation you can clarify if you’re celiac so they have more time to prepare as they cook everything fresh that day, but they were so wonderful and very accommodating) the best fish I’ve ever had in my life, and my family had some lemon tiramisù (I had some delicious fruit for GF). The view was absolutely stunning- especially during sunset, the dogs were so sweet, their farm was beautiful, and the owners were so kind, funny and so very generous. It was an unforgettable evening and a highlight of our trip. Do yourself a favor and go here!!
For 35€ each we were treated to a stunning view, a bottle of delicious homemade wine, and then a four-course meal that is literally from Don Vicient's farm to our table. The (not gluten free) dessert was probably my husband’s favorite dessert ever, and he offered homemade limoncello to cap off the meal. We then bought three bottles of that homemade limoncello to take home with us We were also pleasantly surprised how accommodating they were of my gluten allergies. They had an alternative for her for every part of the meal that involved gluten. They provided Schär bread and gluten free pasta and a large bowl of delicious homegrown fruit for my dessert. I can’t speak to the cross contamination component but they were very helpful and I felt well the next day. If you come to the Amalfi Coast and do not enjoy an evening here, you are sorely missing out. It's a bit out of the way but absolutely worth the walk from the bus stop.
