Ancila's Indian Cuisine - Mississauga

We ordered the chicken taka tak, mutton karahi, and paneer tikka masala. All three dishes were delicious! They each had their own unique and distinct flavors that really satisfied my taste buds. Ancila, the owner, was very welcoming and made us feel right at home in the restaurant. I highly recommend Ancila to anyone looking to indulge in some authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine!

We went to this restaurant for dinner and were delighted with our experience. As expected, we were asked about our spice tolerance, preferred meat and vegetarian options based on previous reviews. A delicious meal was then recommended to us. We enjoyed a Goan coconut-based shrimp curry with plenty of fresh curry leaves, a lamb curry with tender meat pieces, and a roasted okra dish with swirl and tomato. Even our child, who usually avoids tomato, enjoyed it. We also had butter and garlic naan on the side, as well as a tasty mango lassi. The food was freshly prepared and the chef clearly knows how to cook. The dishes were well-balanced and unique, making for an interesting meal. The service was quick and friendly. Although there was no menu, we paid $73 for the dishes mentioned. We will definitely return and recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant to others.

If I could give a rating of 10 stars, I would do so for Ancilas Rave. The chef's meticulous attention to preparing delicious Mangalorean dishes evokes the feeling of a homemade meal cooked by a mother or grandmother. The restaurant is very accommodating and can customize dishes not on the traditional menu. If someone is longing for classic Mangalorean or Indian cuisine, they must visit and indulge in the authentic flavors at Ancilas Rave.

We set ourselves and there was no menu. the chef who was like a happy mother came out and asked what we want. No, we don't have menus. I cook for you. so we have discussed many options with the cook and made our decisions. lamb corma, kokosnuss curry shrimp, chicken tika and accouterments. delicious! the food was stubborn and best of all that it felt as if we had a home cooked meal only made for us. a feeling that you never come in a restaurant thank you ancila.

Ancila's is such a hidden gem the food is exquisite (coming from an indian) and the ambiance is quite comfortable.Ancila will not usually give a menu but ask what you are in the mood for which was an excellent change
