Chicken and fish came out then we waited and waited and waited 22 minutes. Finally after getting frustrated we had to ask for the rest of our order and dinner plates as they were not brought. Dinner was cold by the time we ate and way too spicy after we asked for mild. We asked for the manager who never came to our table to discuss our dissatisfaction. We are not impressed.
I'm not sure what happened but in the last couple months the food has gone to just average. My last takeout order was poor. The malai kofta was like dense dough balls with nothing inside and sauce light and watery. The butter chicken had about 5 pieces of chicken in it and the sauce was watery as well.Anyway, I emailed the restaurant with my experience and have never heard back. I'm hoping it's a temporary issue but will be looking for a new favourite Indian place.
I love the food at Gurus. Very good selection of Indian and India-Chinese dishes. The lunch buffet is just okay. But their a la carte food at dinner is just great
My husband and I decided to try out their lunch buffet on one of the Tuesdays. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and has lots of parking. As we entered, we noticed there were not much people around, probably cause we reached at 2.30pm. Their buffet service is open only until 3pm and is $10.99 per person.Their buffet had noodles, naan, tandoori chicken, goat curry, rice, vegetable rice, butter chicken, fish, spring rolls, aloo gobi salads, chutnies & pickles. For sweets there was gulab jamun and fresh fruits which all tasted good. Will definitely visit them again.
Have been a few times to this restaurant. Did buffet, a la carte, take out. The buffet is just average with the usual butter chicken, mutton curry & a couple chinese dishes, etc. Naan is not bad. We ordered the grilled combo when we did a la carte and that was nice. Wait staff is friendly, however on one occasion the "manager" was there. He's an older gentleman and was literally hovering over my shoulder after giving us the bill. Very weird!!
