I was taken to this restaurant for lunch by my Polish boyfriend and his grandfather, and despite being apprehensive at first, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible. The portion sizes were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and it was all traditional Polish cuisine. As someone who is not Polish, I stuck to basic pierogis, but I also sampled some of their other dishes and they tasted just like grandma makes them. My only criticism is that the decor and appearance of the restaurant seem a bit worn down. But as they say, don't judge a book by its cover!
The schabowe cutlet reminds me of Kentucky fried chicken, except it's in cutlet form. Must try.
A very big pub and restaurant with a large dance floor. Nice and spacious. No choice of tap water, only sparkling or spring water.
My husband thought the food was a bit bland but I really enjoyed it. I had the polish platter. The waitress was very accommodating though I asked for a substitute that was strange I think.Highly recommend the pierogies!!
