The food at this restaurant is good and I appreciate the service of having the food brought to my table. However, it appears that there may be a bias in serving customers. It seems that men are served first, followed by those in Muslim attire. On multiple occasions, the service has been consistently poor for two elderly women like myself. Men who ordered after us were served within minutes, while we waited for half an hour. It was frustrating to have to ask for a refund and leave. Our money is just as valuable as anyone else's, and we should not be treated differently because we are women. This is Canada, and all customers should be treated equally. Despite enjoying the food, I can no longer tolerate this discrimination.
A cook, two orders and it takes 30 minutes. It fills half-cracked pitas with old salads and spices, while it donates my beef on the grill behind it in Oblivion. It was if I had burned tar instead of beef. The frits were ridiculously flashing frozen and fried without sufficient thawing (what is as you can say that they were frozen to begin with). On the ridiculous waiting period with no one in the restaurant, the charred Shawarma-Rind, the dry and crumbling falafel and stale torn Pitas, the bill was ridiculously overpriced. This is the second time to eat at this place with about 1 year gap. I now know why I remember the previous experience being just like the Blande. Avoid the avoidance.
I had amazing experiences at Paramount in Mississauga and Milton, so I decided to try it at Bramalea City Center. Big mistake. The place was empty, and no one was even behind the counter. I should have canceled the note. Finally, someone came out of the back. I ordered a Tabbouleh salad and it was absolutely terrible. It should be fresh, instead it came from a Tuperware container that sat on the counter for which knows how long. It was dry and old. This evening I had terrible stomach problems and it's pretty clear what the cause was. I'm a fan of Paramount, but something's wrong with this place. Never again.
We always come here (Paramount at Bramalea City Centre) for lunch every chance we get especially during weekends and have always enjoyed their food. However, our visit last Sunday, 29 May was a bit disappointing the serving of their meat are becoming lesser and lesser every visit. We voiced out our observation and were told that the serving has always been that way and we're like NO! We come here often and we know the difference. Long story short, we didn't want to really make a big deal and decided to just eat and just never come back again, at least at the Bramalea City Centre branch. But, the team lead kept engaging with us trying to justify their serving to the point where he had to come to our table and continue with his explanations without realizing how infuriating it is because all it did was make us feel that we are being deceitful. This does not include the fact that he made me wait a good 5 minutes while he was on the phone with I'm guessing, a supplier, before taking our order. But in all fairness, we felt his sincerity that he does not want an annoyed customer during his watch and has made gesture that lightened the situation and made us forgive and forget. Also, I have to commend their salad, it was fresh and yummy so I still give them a fair rating and yes, we'll most probably return to the Bramalea branch because I must admit, one of the best Middle Eastern foods we've had in Canada.
