Sam Luen Hing Barbecue - Mississauga

This joint is in the Sino Strip Mall, which has a fairly non descript Food court with Asian offerings. It's been years since I've eaten here so I decided to try it out while in the area.I ordered the takeout chicken on rice meal since they had run out of roasted pork. However when I opened the container I found that food was cold! Or more specifically, the chicken felt like it just came out of the refrigerator. I'm not sure what the deal was maybe they thought the chicken would warm up with the hot rice? But it had been over 10 minutes and it was still cold. There wasn't a microwave where I was, so I had to wait another 20 minutes for the chicken to warm up. I'm just glad I didn't get food poisoning from it.I don't know if this was a mistake or if they actually serve dine in food cold like this too, but that's an automatic 0/5 from me. Otherwise the price would've been okay at about $11 for a generous helping of rice, chicken, and soup on the side.

I've been to over a dozen Chinese BBQ locations and I conclude this LHB has the best roasted pork. It's deeply seasoned and no pieces were bland. Skin is crunch and pairs well with riceHowever, the char siu was cold, too much on the sweet side and did not have a good texture.Service is not very good. The lady works efficiently and doesn't take slow orders too well.Well worth a visit.

This is one of the best places to get bbq food. I love their menu, their roasted pork is to die for. Highly recommend this place. I usually order chicken and roast pork with rice whenever I eat alone.
