Contribuisci feedbackWe visited The Pearl for New Year's Eve, and it truly made the occasion memorable. We’re definitely planning to book another visit soon. I adore the ambiance, especially the lighting and the fireplace. I go there for both the atmosphere and the delicious food.
We started with escargot, which was delicious. My boyfriend ordered a steak cooked to a perfect medium rare, and he declared it the best steak he'd had in years. I chose the duck, and it was equally amazing. The service was impeccable—professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our glasses were never empty, which we really appreciated. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and a nice variety of entrees, enough to provide options without being overwhelming. The ambiance was quite dim, which was perfect for a date but might pose a challenge for anyone trying to read the menu, like my grandparents. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for families with young children due to the setting. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Pearl Cafe, and I would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a lovely dinner date!
Pearl Café ALWAYs delivers. We have never had a bad meal, or bad service, which seems to be the white whale of Missoula restaurants. Here I am watching Practical Magic with my wife and I remember our anniversary dinner the other night was so special. The steaks are better than any other restaurant in Missoula. They are incomparable. The wine list is a true treat, and basically lays out deliciousness the same way Mount Sentinel and Pattee Canyon mountains silhouette sensually in the morning light. I digress. And I think about going back. It is, and will be, ALL GOOD.
This is always our go-to restaurant for a romantic and special dining occasion. Unfortunately, our waitress was not very pleasant, and her service was slow. This isn't typical for the Pearl, so I'll chalk it up to her just having a bad night. I wouldn't hold this against the Pearl, as the rest of the staff were very friendly.
Here are some photos of our meal: escargot with sizzling garlic butter and sourdough, lamb with mint and fava bean couscous alongside grilled zucchini, filet mignon with green peppercorn sauce, green beans, and Yukon gold mash, and for dessert, a mandel torte that was heavenly, and a lemon cake with huckleberry sauce and candied lemon peel.
