Don't relax. there are few places out there that can do what this place makes consistent. they do not increase the eating of the dunes to an art or something, but they are still, in a small town in montana, the people of totally drunk to foot dead on a nightly basis - and on the way, served high tasty breakfast, brunch and burger to anyone who in, 24-7. in the 20 years I am here that their engagement for their process has never been lowered and they are worth it is a dying art, but the ochse has it.
I sat on the bar, on the side of the food and was immediately waiting. there were a few televisions and many black white photos to keep my interest as I have waited. it took 10 minutes to work together, as others were commanding. ice cold water, delicious baked toast, spicy hash brown and the mülleimer omelet! rick really knows how to work this grill and that is at my new favorite places to stop in for late night eating.
More delicious bacon cheeseburger. a little more fat, but good. the pommes were overwhelming. the waiting staff was very polite and attentive. price was fair for the portion size. the atmosphere was in nostalgic wise very smokey old dinner. the tables were all largely dirty, but they seemed to be understated. the current employees worked out their backs. will return definitiw.
Anytime I am in Missoula, getting a JJs special is a must. The spicy gravy is amazing, I have tried so hard to replicate it at home, but just can't get it like theirs. They always make the hasbrowns nice and crispy. The staff is always friendly and amazing. Since they are always open, you have no excuse not to stop in and get a JJ's special. Treat your belly and tastebuds to this Dive Bar delicacy.
