From where I'm from in Florida, it would have cost at least $20 for something similar without the meal. Fish was really tasty even without seasoning! :
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant, honestly my favorite of any type of restaurant. I overlooked it for years until my husband his family took me there. It’s truly a hidden gem! It doesn’t look like much by appearance but the food is great!!
When I visit Mobile, La Cocina is the place I have to eat at least once while I'm home. It is a top priority. The food is authentic and I feel like I'm eating a yummy home-cooked meal every time.
Food was not good, it was very dry, we got checked on only about 2 times, and on top of that they charged a $20 tip without my consent?!?!? No prices were shown on the ticket so you can’t see how much they are actually charging. When I ordered a Michelada with no alcohol only mineral water, it costed the same as it would with alcohol. I don’t think it’s right for them to charge that much for a tip. The place was also not very decorative. It was a total of $144 for 5 people so almost $30 for each person when the dishes on the menu showed prices of $11.99. Doesn’t make sense but I don’t recommend going there.
Rude customer service. Refused to give me water to go. Accused me of trying to take the rest of my drink. I told her she could take the rest of my drink. I just wanted a water and She refused. On top of the food being nasty, that was the icing on the cake. I won’t return.
